Hello! My name is Geoff Teare and I have been competing in Dog Agility since 2001, mainly in the ultra-competitive Southern California area. Despite the tough competition, my dogs and I have had terrific success…..especially with my Papillon “Sheena”, who has earned multiple Championship agility titles over the past several years. She and I have competed all over the country and this spring was our fifth trip to the AKC Agility Nationals in Reno, Nevada, where we finished 9th out of 133 teams in the State team competition (8” class).  December 2010 was our first trip to the very prestigious AKC Agility Invitational in Long Beach, California. She was “Invited” to that competition by being the #1 Papillon in the USA for the 2009-2010 period. Her daughter “Nike” is starting to tear things up in the ring now, and recently earned her first Championship title, as well as also competing at the AKC Agility Nationals this year.  We are having a great time competing in this part of the country now!

I trained under Kirsten Cole (Toprock Training Center) and former USDAA World Team member Karen Moureaux (Contact Point Agility), both near Los Angeles, CA. I have also attended many seminars taught by some of the top agility handlers, both national and international.

Between the educational background and it’s practical application in national competition, I have gained the knowledge and experience necessary to help those ready to get involved…..and succeed…..in this great sport. I prefer a fun-filled, energetic class atmosphere, and firmly believe the more the dogs enjoy their training the faster they will learn!

My wife Cindy and I moved to the Grand Valley in the summer of 2010, and after many months of unpacking, began laying the groundwork for K9 POWERSPORTS. We are very excited about the opening of our business, and look forward to working with all the future agility teams in this wonderful part of the country!
